SNOWY Morning can take give Irish raider Willie Mullins the spoils in Saturday's the headline race, the Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup Handicap Chase, at Newbury.

A. P. McCoy rides the well-fancied seven-year-old, who is fancied to turn the tables on potential Gold Cup horse Denman at the weights.

Snowy Morning finished 10 legenths adrift of Deman at the Cheltenham Festival last March, but the Irish rival now has an 18lb pull.

Sir Rembrant, who looks revitalised since moving to Victor Dartnell's yard, looks well in on his best form when second in tow Gold Cups, and is a big danger.

Likely improvers New Alco, Character Building and Bible Lord could also get into the argument.

Jimmy Moffatt's Chief Dan George goes for the Long Distance Hurdle(2.05) on this card and has a tough test against Ingris Drever to say nothing of Black Jack Ketchum.

But the Cartmel-trained charge has had a thorough preparation and deserves a chance ot prove his beating of Witchita Lineman at Aintree was no fluke.

Ferdy Murphy's in-form stable can take a decent prize with Leading Man in the Rehearsal Chase at Newcastle.
