PLAYERS are limbering up for the pivotal match of Kendal's rugby season.
The unbeaten North Division One side face Huddersfield their closest rivals knowing that victory would put automatic promotion to National League Three firmly in their grasp.
Kendal have already beaten Huddersfield away, then again at Mint Bridge in the EDF National Trophy, but on both occasions it was a close run thing between the two evenly-matched sides.
The Yorkshiremen, whose only defeats this season have been at the hands of Kendal, will be anxious that it should not become three in a row so a tough an exciting battle can be expected straight from tomorrow's (Saturday) 2pm kick-off, but with the expected support of a large home crowd Kendal should make sure that it is their year for glory.
Denied yet another match last weekend because of Leek Town's waterlogged ground Kendal Town hope for better luck tomorrow when their big to scramble clear of the UniBond League Premier Division drop zone takes them to Derbyshire side Ilkeston Town.
With games in hand Lee Ashcroft's side should be able to make progress up the table and Ilkeston, just two places above them in the table are one of the target teams.
