TWIST Magic is hard to oppose for the Victor Chandler Chase at Ascot, despite the fact that heavy ground may not be entirely ideal for Paul Nicholl's star.
He did win on soft in majestic fashion to beat Voy Por Ustedes at Sandown and a repitation of that form should be good enough at prohibitive odds.
Patricksninteenth is a confirmed mud-lover and won with a fair amount in hand and is fancied to follow up in the 3.30pm race.
He's no chicken at 11 years of age, but will relish the conditions against in-and-out sort of opposition.
Irish raiders are always in with a chance at Ascot and Tom Walsh wuill not have sent Paramount all the way for nothing in the 1.10pm.
At Lingfield, Peter Chapple-Hyam introduces a nice type in Too Risky in the 1.20, while Highest Esteem is a progressive sort and can notch a hat-trick in the 1.55.
