Carvetii had found Appleby a stumbling blockwhen beaten 6-3 in the league back in the autumn and did not make the samemistake this time with a convincing 3-0 victory.
Although theydominated throughout, an hour elapsed before Carvetii made it count in amatch in which they hit the workwork on five occasions- three times in thefirst half.
It seemed easier to score than not as Carvetii atorrid opening half-hour upon the hopme side, but the Appleby keeper didwell and it was the 61st minute before he was beaten, Andrew Chapman'sthrough ball picking out Willie Paul whose well-struck shot went in offthe post.
Six minutes later, Mike Bell beat two men andcrossed from the bye-line for Cylde Harris to nod in asecond.
It was 3-0 with quarter of anmhour to go, this timeTommy Prime supplying the left-wing cross for Mike Bell to finish with afirm strike int othe corner.
Appleby, who best sight of goalcame from a handful of set-pieices, could have no argument about theoutcome as Carvetii , who had to reshuffle with both regular full backsout injured took their revenege.
