Royal Ascot - Pipe looks dream bet for Gossie

THERE was a bit of bad luck for John Gosden at Royal Ascot yesterday when Cesare got blocked when making his challenge in the Queen Anne Stakes, but he can take his revenge with PIPEDREAMER in the Prince of Wales Stakes on Tuesday.

The Selkirk colt is cast in the mould of a top-class handicapper who has the potential to graduate to pattern-class and his turn of foot is likely to stand him in good stead here.

The Cambridgeshire winner was third to Phoenix Tower in the Earl of Sefton Stakes at Newmarket and can turn the form around.

Soft ground did not really suit when a close-up third ot Smokey Oakey at Sandown and provided the rains do not come, he can put Duke of Marmalade and Literato in their place.

SABANA PERDIDA looks like a winner for France in the Windsor Forest Stakes (3.05).

She has been running in Group races and was not hard-pressed to win at Lingfield on her reappearance in a fast time. That was over seven furlongs, but she shgould cope with the extra furlong and can get the better of Baharah, who looks one for the forecast.

AQLAAM has been kept aside for the Royal meeting by Willie Haggas and his potential can be realised in the Jersey Stakes despite looking inferior on form to the likes of Calming Influence and IlWarrd.

Tommy Stack's NUBAR LADY must go close in the Queen Mary Stakes after being beatne only a neck by yesterday's Coventry second Bushranger at Tipperary.

Watch for a market move for stable companion Sugar Free though as she is thought to be not too inferior and looks an each-way shot.

The Royal Hunt Cup seems to be at the mercy of Bankable. Luca Cumani's charge with start at prohibitive odds in a cavalry charge, however, and has done his best winning with cut in the ground.

Walker Swinburn sent OVERTURN out to run a cracker after a long absence and in a fair time, too, and that is what I think can happen as Bankable is overturned by his rival.
