YOUNG striker Craig Hobson grabbed a hat-trick to send Kendal Town to a 3-2 Bank Holiday Monday victory at Whitby Town in the Unibond League.
Ever-alert Hobson struck twice inside the first four minutes as he took advantage of some poor goalkeeping and slipshod defending.
Whitby pulled one back through Tom Roe around the half-hour mark, but Hobson made it 3-1 shortly before half time.
Whitby had lots of pressure in the second half following a stern half-time talking-to, but Town showed great resilience and although substitute Lee Nogan cut the deficit to 3-2 they left the east coast port having taken six points from the holiday programme, following their 2-0 win over Eastwood Town on Saturday.
