NETHERFIELD off-spinner Chris Miller completed the rarest of bowling feats when he captured all ten wickets to fall against Carnforth in the 3-D Sports Northern League on Saturday.
Miller returned 10-51 in a 15-point victory that catapulted the Parksiders to the top of the table for the first time this season, having won six of their last seven matches.
Only one other bowler in Northern League history has taken all ten wickets - and that was Colin Hilton, the Morecambe professional, who took 10-39 in 1969.
Bowling from the pavilion end, Miller wrecked Carnforth, bowling three of his victims, had one lbw and the other six caught as the home side were all out for 99 in pursuit of Netherfield's 185-9.
Carnforth's substitute professional Wayne Madsen had supplied 57 of his side's score, but Netherfield's South Australian Callum Ferguson took the honours with the bat with his 103 not out, giving him 1,307 - it leaves him 44 short of equalling Terry Hunte's aggregate league batting record.
Kendal had topped the table going into the weekend, but lost at home to Leyland and slipped to fourth place.
