IT'S an 'Auld Grey Town' one-two at the top of the 3-D Sports Northern Cricket League, with Netherfield memorably crowned as champions and Kendal forcing their way into runners-up spot on a dramatic final day of cricket.
Netherfield's amazing second half of the season continued when Aussie pro Callum Ferguson hit 74 to set a new league aggregate batting record and they defeated Morecambe by four wickets - the 12-point win keeping them in top spot.
And with Blackpool and Morecambe both failing to register a last-day success, Kendal's six-wicket home win over Preston lifted them from fourth to second, making it a great day for local cricket.
