Playing 11-a-side for the first time in a competitive match, Inter began their 2008-09 season with an away trip to Ingleton and left it late to claim a debut win.
Wattsfield got off the mark with their first attack of the game with Jenny Addison firing home a loose ball in the penalty area.
However, instead of pressing on Inter stood back and allowed Ingleton a way back into the match. Ingleton levelled the score through a long looping shot that sailed over the stranded Kim Lupton.
Inter then fell behind after they failed to deal with an inswinging corner and a goal line clearance from Brooke Kenny smacked against Katie Brown for an own goal.
The second-half ebbed and flowed and both teams had chances and both struck the woodwork.
But with only ten minutes remaining, Inter grabbed an equaliser when Hannah Crosdale finished at the back post from a Grania Shankley corner.
With minutes remaining, Inter were awarded a free kick on the edge of the area and Shankley fired home.
n Inter travelled to Dalton and put in a determined performance to beat their annual rivals 4-2. Inter took the lead when Jo Thompson flicked the ball on to Becca Knowles, whose lob over the keeper rebounded off the post for Brooke Kenny to follow up and score.
Dalton responded within minutes from a through ball and tremendous strike but Inter reclaimed the lead when Grania Shankley ran on to smash an unstoppable shot into the bottom corner of the goal.
Again parity was achieved early in the second half as Dalton converted a penalty for a push in the box.
Undeterred, Inter immediately went back down the pitch and went in front once more. A strong run from Jenny Addison took her clear of the defence before her shot went in off the post. Inter went further ahead soon afterwards. Hannah Crosdale ran down the left wing, cut inside the defender and her shot towards goal was excellently controlled by Becca Knowles, who then placed the ball past the keeper.
