PREMIER Division sides focussed on cup action on Saturday with Cartmel and District's 2-0 win over Galgate the pick of the Adam and Gaskell Senior Challenge Cup programme.
In-form Galgate made it a real cup-tie thriller, with the action flowing from end to end and both sides creating chances and missing them.
Cartmel had Matthew Burrows to thank in the second-round match as he scored both goals to earn a home meeting with the winners of the Bolton-le-Sands/Bentham/Overton tie. More reports in Friday's Westmorland Gazette.
