KENDAL RUFC switch to cup action (Saturday) with the visit of fellow National League 3 North rivals Halifax to Mint Bridge in the first round of the EDF Energy National Trophy.
Kendal have been running in plenty of tries and with the Yorkshire side bottom of the table without a win in six so far, the scene is set for a potentially high-scoring tie.
Windermere host Mossley Hill in the EDF Energy Junior Vase, while Kirkby Losndale go to Ashton and Upper Eden to Stockton in the Senior Vase.
THE cup theme continues with Kendal Town’s footballers on the road in the FA Trophy with a long trip to Stamford in tomorrow’s first qualifying round (3pm kick-off). If a replay is needed it will take place in midweek.
Meanwhile, back at the Lakeland Radio Stadium on Saturday, Westmorland U18s play their Cumberland counterparts in the first round of the FA County Youth Cup (2pm kick-off).
