Rugby - RFU top brass present award to Kirkby Lonsdale

TOP brass from the Rugby Football Union dropped in at Kirkby Lonsdale RUFC on Sunday.
They were on a fact-finding mission in Cumbria and among their duties was to present the RFU seal of Approval Level 4 award to Kirkby’s thriving Mini and Youth and Colts Section.
Kirkby Lonsdale are only the second club in the UK to have achieved the prestigious award.
The Chief Exeuctive of the RFU, Mr Francis Baron (left) presented the award in the Underley Park clubhouse to John Townsen (centre), chairman of Kirkby Lonsdale RUFC, with John Anderson, Chairman of Kirkby’s Mini Youth & Colts (right) looking on.
