KENDAL Town fans have the rare luxury of back-to-back Saturday fixtures at Parkside Road in the next fortnight.
Town take on Guiesley AFC tomorrow in a rearranged league fixture. Guiseley originally made the made the trip to Cumbria at the start of September only to see the game abandoned in torrential rain.
As one of Town’s two games in hand over their league superiors, Lee Ashcroft will be desperate to steal a march on Town’s promotion rivals. Kick-off Saturday is at 3pm.
KENDAL Rugby Club face a tough away game Saturday as they travel to high-flying Fylde for their National League three North fixture. The Lancashire club, who have played two more games than Kendal, are currently third, just four points from top spot. SUNDAY marks another highlight in the Carlisle National Hunt calendar as the Cumberland Handicap Chase is staged at Carlisle racecourse. The most valuable race of the season will be staged alongside a celebration of all things Cumbrian. The event promises a host of regional attractions for the entire family.
