KENDAL Rugby Union Club are hosts in National League 3 North (Saturday) to bottom of the table Halifax, whom they trounced in the cup earlier this season.

Kendal will be looking to regain the winning thread after being held to a 24-24 draw at Fylde last week (check kick-off time on sports pages).

Other home fare in the area sees Kirkby Lonsdale entertain Keswick, while Upper Eden welcome Wigton in Cumbria/North Lancs.

KENDAL Town’s footballers ended their lengthy unbeaten league run when Guiseley beat them a week ago and are aiming to bounce back at home tomorrow (Saturday) against Bradford Park Avenue, who are one of their close rivals for a play-off place (3pm kick-off). Town are away to Padiham in the Lancashire FA Trophy next Wednesday evening (7.45pm).
