Football - Fog thwarts Town at Frickley

FREEZING fog forced the abandonment of Kendal Town's UniBond League match at Frickley Athletic on Saturday after 55 minutes with the score standing at 1-1.

Frickley had led before the break thanks to a Danny Walsh strike.

Town's centre-back George Melling headed in Michael Cole's corner tot level the scores early after the break, but the fog came down the the referee decided to abandon after consulting his linesmen.
