Skiing - Alpine skiers selected for European honour

ALPINE skiers Ashley Hill from Cartmel and Emily Whitelock from Kendal have been selected to represent Team GB at the ninth European Youth Olympic Winter Festival.

The two 15-year-old skiers, who have been abroad training in Italy, will be among more than 1,000 athletes from 45 European counties competing in nine different winter disciplines at Slask Beskidy in Poland from February 14 to 21.
