KENDAL went down 29-14 at Macclesfield after putting up a decent effort with depleted playing resources in this National League 3 North match on Saturday.
Starting boldly, Kendal worked their way into a 14-5 lead after tries from Matt Gracie in the 12th minute and Brett Ashley in the 20th minute.
Ashley finished a terrific flowing movement - one of the best tries scored by the Black and Ambers this season, and Rob Aloe converted both scores.
But Macclesfield had abundant pace in their ranks and, with Brett Ashley and Jamie Postlethwaite both having limp off with injuries, the points began to go on the board for the hosts and they were able to retrieve the deficit and run out tidy winners.
