IT was President's Day at Kendal Town without the star on Saturday - Sir Tom Finney was unwell and could not make it, but ex Preston goalie Fred Else deputised and watched Town salvage a point in a 1-1 draw with Ilkeston.
Ilkeston led 1-0 at half time through Marc Newsham after he survived an offside appeal.
Lee Ashcroft's side went close to an equaliser when Dave Foster had a penalty turned down and Callum Warburton shot narrowly wide.
Town finally came two minutes into added-on time when Michael Cole headed home.
Alex Taylor almost snatched a late, late winner For Kendal but was adjudged offside.
