A look ahead to a bumper weekend of sport

WHITTINGTON Races takes centre stage in the pick of this weekend’s sporting action. A day of point to point racing gets under way at 2pm on Saturday at the Lune Valley course with six races planned and entry to the course £25 per car.
Both Kendal Town FC and Kendal Rugby Club face big games over the Easter weekend. Promotion chasing Kendal Town take on Ashton United at Parkside Road on Friday in a must win game. Kick off 3pm.
Kendal Rugby Club welcome National League Three leaders Nuneaton to the Mint Bridge this Saturday as they look to move towards the security of mid-table. Kick off is at 2pm.
