IBIS Under-16 girls football team are through to the North-West Regional finals of the Tesco Cup competition to be held at Manchester on April 25.
Ibis won the Tesco County Cup final by beating Milnthorpe 2-0 at Staveley.
The goals came in either half from C. Hardy and L. Nicholson and Ibis even could afford to miss a penalty.
Ibis goalkeeper S. Smith made a fine save to ensure their kept their two-goal cushion in a fine all-round team effort.

MILNTHORPE Town won a penalty shoot-out with Wattsfield FC in the U13 boys Tesco County Cup final, booking a place in the Northern Regional Final in Manchester.
Milnthorpe cancelled out Wattsfield’s lewad thrroug Joseph Davidson and it was 1-1 at full time.
In extra time John Fishwick beat three men to cross for Davidson to volley home but Wattsfield levelled the scores direct from a corner. When it went to penalties Milnthorpe edged the verdict 3-2 in front of the big crowd.
