NETHERFIELD CC face Barrow this Sunday in the delayed 2008 final of the Thwaites Cumbria Cup, played for the Meageen Trophy (1.30pm start).
The Parkside Road team swept aside Keswick in a 176-run rout when the oftpostponed semi-final finally went ahead on Easter Sunday.
Inserted by their hosts, Netherfield made 213-6 off their 40 overs.
Skipper Chris Parry opened the innings with Ben Haddrick and put on 66 in 13.1 overs.
Parry made 32, while Haddrick went on to hit a top-scoring 53, with other useful contributions also coming from Craig Walmsley (27), John Huck (27) and Rish Girdhari (18 not out).
Keswick’s Darren Kearns was the pick of the bowlers with 4-53.
Netherfield’s substitute professional Alec Roberts, who plays for New Brighton, made eight with the bat before falling to an lbw decision, but his fast bowling yielded 4-10.
Scott Clement and Marc Hadwin each chipped in with with a couple of cheap wickets.
None of the Keswick batsmen got into double figures as they capitulated to 37 all out in exactly 19 overs.
The Furness BS Northern League starts on Saturday with Kendal at Barrow, while Netherfield sit out their bye date.
