ANOTHER breath-taking finish saw Kendal Town take a vital point in a 2-2 draw at Bradford Park Avenue in the Unibond Premier Division on Saturday. But other results will make it an uphill task to make the play-offs

Wins for Guiseley and FC United underlined how much Kendal needed the win and it looks as if they will depend on how other teams fare on the season's final weekend of league fixtures.

After trailing to a late first-half Bradford goal, Kendal boss Lee Ashcroft rang the changes and threw everything forward. And on 81 minutes Paul Byrne's corner found in-form Craig Hobson to head home.

Then in the 89th minute, substitite Carl Osman, returning after injury, cut in from the left after a mazy run and hit a unstoppable shot past the Bradford keeper for a 2-1 lead.

Three minutes of injury time followed and Bradford came back to force an equaliser right at the end when skipper Mike Haran rose unmarked to head past keeper David Newnes.

More later.
