PLAYERS and fans of Kendal Town face an anxious evening watching the results roll in as three of Town’s promotion rivals head into league action tonight looking to leapfrog Kendal.
Town currently lye fifth in the Unibond Premier Division, occupying the much-converted final play-off place having amassed 71 points from 41 games.
Despite exceeding a total points target of 68 laid down by manager Lee Ashcroft Town’s promotion dream hangs on a knife-edge as the three teams immediately surrounding Kendal take on lower opposition tonight.
Nantwich, Guiseley and Bradford Park Avenue have all played one game less than Kendal. But with only one point separating seventh placed Nantwich and third placed FC United a win for sixth placed Guiseley, who take on mid-table North Ferriby, or Nantwich who play struggling Boston, would see them push Town out the play-off places.
Fourth placed Bradford Park Avenue are also in action tonight. Bradford are level on points with Town and would also be affected by a good results for Nantwich or Guiseley so will also be desperate to claim maximum points against a doomed Leigh side.
