Cricket - First-match defeat for Netherfield
9:30am Sunday 26th April 2009 in
NETHERFIELD CC suffered an 71-run defeat at Preston in their opening Furness BS Northern League match on Saturday.
Netherfield won the toss and opted to field as Preston made 205-7 off 46 overs.
Netherfield were all out for 134 in 40.3 overs in reply.
Kendal were held to a losing draw at home to Blackpool, who set a target of 188-6 off 50 overs.
Kendal were 177-9 in reply.
