CUMBERLAND struck out again in the MCCA Trophy at Bedford School when Bedfordshire beat them under the Duckworth/Lewis system in a reduced overs match because of the rain.
Cumberland made 192-7 off 40 overs with Alex Roberts top-scoring on 62, while Chris Goode took 3-53.Bedfordshire were 177-7 (off 36 overs) with Dan Bendon 62, and it was enough to seal victory.
Cumberland now face a full three-day Minor Counties match at Sedbergh School next month.
