NETRHERFIELD finished on top in a winning draw at Darwen in the Furness Building Society Northern League on Saturday with porofessional Glen Batticciotto make good contributions.
The Australian hit 65 runs as Netherfield batted first, but skipper Chris Parry topped the list with a superb unbeaten 75.
Craig Walmsley made 32 and John Huck 15 as Netherfield reached 208-6 off a reduced 46 overs.
Batticciotto took 3-19 - including five maidens in his ten overs - when Darwen replied.
Although Darwen's new South African professional David Wiese made 88 on his debut, his dismissal was the turning point and the home side hung on for a draw at 189-8.
Kendal came unstuck at St Annes at Shap Road after dismissing the visitors for 102.
Stand-in skipper Duncan Whalley made 50 of that total and Atiq Uz-Zaman 22.
Spinner Ben Simm took 5-54 and Howarth 3-12 as Saints were all washed up after 33 overs.
Kendal wilted in reply though and were ousted for just 52 - though they lasted 38 overs. Only Terry Hunte (19) and Oliver Killiner (17) were in double figures as Dinuk Hettiarchchi took 4-11 and Nick Jones 4-13.
