NETHERFIELD opener Craig Walmsley and professional Glen Batticciotto made big innings with 118 and 100 not out respectively at Blackpool in the Furness BS Northern League on Saturday.
The centuries helped the visitorsp ile up a score of 261-4 declared after 47 overs.
Blackpool were in real trouble at 43-3 in reply but they regrouped and provided some stubborn resistance to hold on for the draw at 166-8 after facing 53 overs.
James Smith (22) and Richard Gleeson (20) shared a match-saving stand of 49 over 12 overs for the ninth wicket.
Kendal fought out a tight finish with Morecambe at Shap Road.
Morecambe won by a wicket with 4.1 overs to spare after they chased down 168-9.
Kendla professional Ross McMillan top-scored with 66 with Nick Lewthwaite next best on 32 and Gareth Ashburner making 29.
Graham Lee took 5-55 and Mandl Mashimbyl 3-64.
Morecambe's challenge was based around Mashimbyl's 48 and Tommy Clough's 21 in a good stand of 63 for the sixth wicket.
Others chipped in but Stu Parkin's 4-53 tipped the scales back to Kendal, who had nine wickets down before the last pair Lewis Edge and Jono Gates scraped their way to a tense victory.
