KENDAL AC team captain Danny Parkinson set a personal-best as he led from start to finish in the 3,000m at the Mid Lancs Track and field meeting at Witton Park in Blackburn on Saturday.
Parkinson improved his previous-best by a second to win in 9.12, and he also took second place in the 800m in another pb in 2.01, with team-mate Keiran Alderson third in 2.03, also a pb.
Tom Matthews was second and third in the 200m (24.9) and the 400m (54.4) respectively.
In the Under 17 men’s 100m Dan Harrop came second (11.7). Max Obale had a fine run in the 400m (54.8) for second.
Luke Ingham took second in the 800m (2.10), just beating team-mate Sam Till to third (2.17).
In the high jump Callum Blaikie equalled his pb with 1.80m to take first spot, while Joe Whittle secured third.
In the U15 boys Robbie Ingham had a fantastic day with a win in the high jump with a jump of 1.50, and he also finished second in the 400m and 1500m.
Tom Hartley took first place in 800m in 2.18 he took first place, while Nathan Holmes made a brilliant debut for the club among several fine performance by newcomerrs with a second in the discus.
In the Under 15 Girls Allysia Hine took first and second places in the discus and shot put, with Joelle Campbell second in the high jump.
In the 300m Jessica Hodsman lead from start to finish to win a time of 44.4 and was also second in the 200m. She also took a second place in the long jump.
The next Mid Lancs meeting is at Bolton on Saturday, July 25.
