KENDAL'S British Superbikes star James Ellison brilliantly retrieved a podium-place from a difficult time at the ViSK Brtish Superbike Championship meeting at Knockhill.
Ellison was left with a challenge to make somthing happen after a fifth-place finish in race one when he was badly hampered by Kar Harris's first-lap crash.
Dropping to 13th, he still managed to work his way back through the field to be fifth behind Airwaves Yamaha team-mate Leon Camier.
In-form Camier went on to record a double win at Knockhill, but Ellison showed his fighting spirit when he battled his way from fifth to grab third place in the second race.
The results mean that Ellison still sits an honourable second in the overall championship behind Camier.
