MID-table table teams in the Kendal and District League have taken off the gloves in the bid to avoid relegation.
Up to six and seventh respectively were Levens A, who drew 5-5 against Windermere A, and Netherfield B, who won 7-3 against Crosthwaite A.
The best win of the week came from Holme A with a 9-1 victory over Staveley A in their pursuit of Division 1 leaders KA Hale A.
It is still very tight in Division 2. Subscription A won 6-4 against Milnthorpe A and Burneside A won 8-2 over Holme C. Both winning teams are still in the hunt for promotion with only eight games left to play.
Leaders Bowness A won 8-3 against Levens B and second-placed Victoria A won 7-3 aganst Burton.
Heversham A and Lower Holker B made statements this week. Heversham by winning well against Abbot Hall B and Lower Holker B by keeping Windermere B at bay with a 6-4 win.
Holme D produced their second win of the season, winning 8-2 aganst Bowness B, while Division 3 leaders Kirkby Lonsdale won 6-4 at Subscription B.
A battling Division 4 result came from third-placed KA Hale C, who won 10-0 against Levens C.
Leaders Burnside B could only managed a 6-4 win at Ingleborough B. Second-placed Sedbergh lost 7-3 at Lower Holker C, keeping KA Hale C and Netherfield D close behind.
Endmoor C rallied in Division 5, winning 8-2 against Subcription C and Langdale A dominated with a 9-1 victory over Allithwaite C.
However, the best result came from leaders Allithwaite B, a 10-0 win against Lindale C.

CUMBRIA Ladies visited Staffordshire Ladies on Sunday for their fourth inter-county match of five this season.
The Cumbria ladies, who played the home leg at Co-op BC, fought hard against this strong team, but both home and away legs resulted in defeats. Home leg: Cumbria 218, Staffordshire 227; away leg: Staffordshire 252, Cumbria 152.
