KENDAL were convincing winners by 77 runs at Carnforth in the Furness Building Society Northern Premier League's First Division on Saturday.
Winning the toss, Kendal skipper Ross McMillan opted to bat and his side made 172 all out from 48.3 overs.
Opener Gareth Ashburner top-scored with 54 and other contributions came from McMillan 24 and, further down the order, Nick Lewthwaite with 27.
Carnforth's best with the ball was Warren Quinn with 4-37, while Gareth Pedder shared the spoils with 3-36.
Carnforth were were dismissed for 95 in reply in 32.1 overs.
McMillan removed both openers on his way to taking 4-30, and Ben Simm claimed 3-31 with Kevin Howarth 2-8.
Netherfield entertained Morecambe, who were inserted and made 212-8 off the 50 overs, with former Shap Road opener Ikram Ullah making 62, Mandla Mashimbyi 45 and Mark Woodhead 38.
Netherfield professional Glen Batticciotto took 3-72 and Stuart Nixon 2-43.
In reply, Netherfield made a brave stab at getting the big target. Batticciotto made 82 and Ben Haddrick hit 41 and Alex Atkinson 21, but they fell seven runs short of victory on 206 all out in 48.3 overs.
Mashimbyi made 5-66 and Charles Boucher took 2-25.
