LAKELAND OC juniors Adam Bartlett and Sam Jefferson were winners over the Orange and Light Green courses to score maximum points at the latest event in the Cumbrian Galoppen series on Ling Fell near Cockermouth.
Behind Adam on the 2.6km Orange course were clubmates Lois Jefferson fifth, Fred Nicholls sixth and Lucy Segger seventh.
Other Lakeland Juniors on the 3.8km Light Green course were Natalie Beadle second, Jonathan Crabbe third, Meghan Hallatt fourth and Katie Wright eighth.
Barrow’s Thomas Edmonds was fourth on the 1.8km Yellow course with Warrior OC juniors Kirsten Ramsay fifth and Kirsty Laverack 13th.
Seniors competed over technical Green, Blue and Brown courses. Warrior’s Ian Ramsay won over the 2.6km Short Green with Lakeland’s Janet Nash sixth, Amelia Elliott 18th and Julia Bing 19th.
On the 4.5km Green, Gill Browne was fifth, Richard Day 12th, Karen Farley 15th, Geoff Price 19th, Carrie Beadle 22nd and Judith Filmore 28th.
The 6.7km Blue course attracted most competitors with Barrow juniors Carl Edmonds and Matthew Penellum well placed at third and sixth.
Best placed of the Lakeland seniors was Jonathan Lagoe in fifth with Robert Browne ninth, Jemma Bell 19th, Graham Farley 22nd, Simon Filmore 23rd, Christopher Marshall 24th, Selwyn Wright 25th, Roger Smith 27th and Becca McKenny 28th. Warrior’s Julia Laverack was 30th.
Lakeland junior Jack Wright was fourth over the 8.9km Brown course with Patrick McIver eighth, Simon Austin (BARRO) ninth and Derek Fryer 12th.
