ENGLAND women’s fast bowler Katherine Brunt and Twenty/20 star Danielle Hazel will be offering tips at a free cricket coaching day for girls at Burneside Cricket Club on Friday, August 7.
The fun day, organised by Cumbria Cricket Board, is targeted for girls aged 13 and under who wish to take up the game.
The day runs from 9.30am until 3pm and comprises workshops which will cover the basics of batting, bowling and fielding, as well as some competitive matches supervised by ECB qualified coaches.
Everyone attending will have the chance of further coaching during the winter and be offered the oportunity to join a focus group and compete against other girls sides next summer.
From there there is the chance to represented the county at U13 level against Lancashire, Yorkshire, Durham and Northumberland next year.
