Hayton's View - Six-try Westoe win gets side buzzing for Bees trip

By Chris Hayton

EVERYONE was quiet for the first ten minutes as Westoe came out firing on all cylinders and we were ten points down and looking second best.

After that though, a great team display led by a captain’s performance from Voorts was enough to get everyone cheering and wondering why they had had any doubts. Funny thing confidence!

Another positive was the fact that we played a full match without picking up any injuries, which must be a first this year, and that allows us to go to Wagon Lane on Saturday at full strength.

We will need to be because Bradford and Bingley, “The Bees”, are known to start at full pace and their wins this year have come from strong first- half performances.

They are fighting for survival. They have beaten Preston and Leicester Lions at home.

Their pack is being strengthened with new signing Tom Hobbs on the flank and they are trying to sign Dave Muckalt from Wharfdale before the deadline.

We have to get on top of their pack and weather the early storm which is bound to come.

Then the confidence will build on the sidelines and on the pitch and the doubts will be kicked to touch.
