We are obviously very disappointed as we created many chances and could have won but sometimes thats is the way things go.
We need to just sit down now and get ready for the next game against Durham City on Saturday.
We dominated the game and we have not played as well as we did in the first half for a while.
The whole team battled well and we created chances but their defence held firm and credit to them.
We had the majority of the match but we didn’t score. We were limited without Steely and the two cup-tied players [Jon Forbes and Jay Connolly] but you have to score the goals.
That was my fourth game and we haven’t done well, but the last two we have been the best team and lost the game.
In general we just need the rub of the green and the strikers need to start scoring goals - only Alex Taylor has hit the net recently - and if they can it will take the pressure off the defence.
Warren Beattie has done a great job stepping into defence and George [Melling] had another good game.
We have gone four games without Lee now but I feel the lads are playing well and I think we will be alright for the play-offs.
We have no bigger incentive than getting back up for the match on Saturday. We had a bit of a rest this week and have been working on a few things.
Durham City have brought some new players in and will be a tough match after their first win at the weekend. We will prepare for it the same as any other match.
On the injury front we only really have Glenn Steel out but his injury isn’t as bad as first feared, but he has ligament damage in his ankle.
He will hopefully be back before the end of the season though.
Peter Wright and Alex Taylor have played together before and have a good understanding of each other’s games and I see them linking up well soon to create goals.
As I said, we are disappointed but we now have to focus on the league and start getting the results.
