SKIPPER Dave Fallows apologised for his side's embarrassing performance as they were skittled out of the Lancashire Cup by Liverpool Competition side Leigh.
In reply to Leigh's 193-8 Kendal's top order collapsed, losing six batsmen for just 12 runs before eventually staggering to 100 all out.
By contrast Leigh's batsmen took advantage of indifferent Kendal bowling, which included 19 wides. Five batsmen reached double figures, G. Cross top scoring with 45 before being caught by James Rafferty with the score on 153-5.
R. Davies, coming in at No 7, made 23 not out as the innings closed on 193-8.
Kendal's woeful replay saw Ikram Ullah needlessly run out and Kevin Howarth bowled, both in the second over with the score on 2-2.
Davis then bowled Terry Hunte and A. Elech in quick succession and when Fallows was caught by Zammit off G. Jennings and P. Ellwood trapped lbw by Davis Kendal were in desperate trouble on 12-6 from 10 overs.
It was left to professional Kabir Khan to salvage some pride with an undefeated 67
