Shrimps in town for pre-season match

Tonight Kendal Town were due to play Morecambe as part of their pre-season build-up.

Morecambe have been so badly hit by injuries before the season has even started that they were forced to call off a planned local derby with Lancaster.

Manger Jim Harvey believed, however, that he would still be able to raise a side to take on Kendal.

Even with a depleted squad, Shrimps, one of the leading Conference League sides, still had the potential to mount a stern test for Tony Hesketh's new side.
