Football - Game cancelled for second time

Kendal Town's UniBond League President's Cup match with Bishop Auckland has been called off yet again.

Cancelled on Saturday because the Parkside pitch was waterlogged, the first round tie was rescheduled for tonight (Tuesday), only to be called off at lunchtime because the ground was still frozen hard beneath the softening surface.

Town's next match is on Monday when they meet Clitheroe in the UniBond League First Division. A win over the second bottom side would elevate Town to fourth place in the table and provide a spur towards a title challenge in the New Year.

Kick off at Parkside is at 3pm.
