Football - Town back in play-off places

Shepshed Dynamo 1, Kendal Town 3.

Despite concededing a sixth minute goal Kendal Town were too good for Leicstershire-based Shepshed.

They were only behind for two minutes before Lee Ashcroft scored an equaliser and on 20 minutes David Foster made it 2-1.

A second half goal by Ricky Mercer put the match beyond Shepshead and boosted Town four places to sixth in the UniBond League First Division.

On Tuesday evening Bishop Auckalnd visit Town's Parkside stadium for the fourth attempt to get their first round tie played in the UniBond President's Cup.
