Defeat at Brigg means that Kendal's atempt to win a play-off place in the UniBond League First Division will go to the wire.
Kendal fell behind to an early goal, but looked to be back on curse when Rickey Mercer grabbed a 23rd minute equaliser.
As Kendal strove to take the spoildes they were hit by two late goals.
Now Kendal have to play two challengers for a play-off place as the season enters its final week.
First up are Mossley who visit Parkside on Tuesday evenning (kick-off 7.45pm).
The final match also gives Kendal home advantage when Eastwood Town are the visitors on Saturday.
