Kendal Town 3, Goole 1.
GOALKEEPER James Salisbury gave his side a length of the pitch lifeline and they grabbed it with relish to run out 3-1 winners in a match they had looked like losing with 20 minutes to go.
Salisbury hit a towering clearance from hand and the ball bounced infront of Goole keeper Simon Cooke, reared up and was carried by a gust of wind over his head into the net.
The 70th minute equaliser cancelled out a strike by Nigel Danby just before the interval after a first half where Kendal had played attractive football out of defence, but floundered in attack.
Salisbury's fortuitous equaliser Town into greater efforts and on 80 minutes a long ball across the Goole goal was chested down by Ged Smith for Nigel Taylor to rifle a shot into the top left hand corner of the net.
Five minutes later substitutes Ian Kilford and David Foster combined well down the right with Foster then squaring the ball to Lee Ashcroft who stroked it home under Cooke's despairing dive.
