Conference North side Worcester were made to work hard for this FA Trophy third qualifying round victory.
Kendal, from two divisions below in the UniBond League First Division, had high hopes of forcing a replay at Parkside this Tuesday until the otherwise solid defence was undone by a solitary 68th minute goal.
Instead of a replay Town now hope to progress in a rearranged UniBond League Cup match at Clitheroe on Tuesday.
