Three goals without reply at Clitheroe sent Kendal Town soaring to the top of the UniBond League First Division.

Captain Lee Ashcroft scored in the forth and 32nd minute with Chris Ward adding the thrid on 70 minutes.

With rivals Colwyn Bay losing 2-1 to Chorley, Bridlington losing 2-1 to Gresley Rovers and former league leaders Mossley hammered 5-0m by Woodley Sports, Town jumped from fourth spot to top and now lead the chase for the title by two points.
