FROZEN off on Saturday when Grasley Rovers were due to visit, Kendal Town had a boost as Unibond League Division 1 leaders Mossley were held to a draw on Saturday.
Goole kept the current leaders to a goalless draw which means Tony Hesketh's side are eight point adrift off top spot, but with two games in hands of the leaders.
Meanwhile, Fleetwood are looming up as a threat to Town's second-place berth after a 3-2 win over Eastwood Town lifted them into third, just a point behind Kendal.
Town welcome back striker Lee Ashcroft for Saturday's trip to 13th-placed Eastwood town, but defender Paul Sparrow is out for the rest of the season following an operation on his broken cheekbone.
