MAN of the match Ged Smith scored twice, the second a 90th minute header, to grab the points from this seven-goal thriller.
Tired from Thursday's strength-sapping battle at rain-soaked Parkside, Kendal travelled to Belper on Saturday and were two down in 12 minutes to goals by Hudson and Bostock.
Paul Osbourne reduced the arrears in the 18th minute then his midfield partner Stuart Cliff hit the equaliser on the stroke of half-time.
When winger Ged Smith put Town ahead seven minutes after the break the travelling fans breathed a sigh of relief, lonely to be deflated when Hudson made it 3-3 on 66 minutes.
Plucky Town dug deep into their reserves of stamina, however, and were rewarded by Smith's lastg minute goal.
The brilliant victory means Town are now just four points behind threefour points clear of third-placed Fleetwood Town.
