Chasetown 0 Kendal Town 1
A DANNY McGahon goal eight minutes into the second half gave Kendal Town the three points at Chasetown on Saturday.
Danny Rowe and Alex Taylor could have scored for Town in the first half but fluffed their chances and midway through the half Chasetown struck a free kick against the crossbar, leaving it goalless at the break.
But McGahon broke the deadlock on 53 minutes after a strong run into the box by Danny Wisdom.
Wisdom played the ball across the defence and McGahon turned it home.
Alex and Aaron Taylor were later replaced, both struggling with injuries - and Town faced a late Chasetown onslaught as their hosts sought a leveller.
But after eight minutes of injury time, the referee's whistle meant Lee Ashcroft's side escaped with all three points.
