Swimming - Amy dashes to a record double

AN OUTSTANDING piece of sprinting was the highlight at Troutbeck Bridge’s first Club Championship gala of the year.

It came in the junior backstroke from Amy Richardson, whose winning time of 16.46 set two new club records.

The boys’ final proved as equally exciting with Sam Harrison (19.70) winning.

Another highlight came from two nine-year-old boys, Ollie Sergeant and Ben Chapman who fought out a blanket finish for the 25m backstroke, the verdict going to Sergeant.
