HOPES of continuing their winning run at Hull Ionians were dashed when Kendal went down to a six tries to one 42-11 defeat on the East coast.
After a Mark Ireland penalty in the 11th minute, Hull led 10-6 at half time with a try from scrum-half Adam Thomas which James Gerguson converted before adding a penalty.
Ireland missed a couple of penalty chances before kicking his second of the game in the 35th minute.
Hull struck in the second half with three tries in eight minutes to put the match out of reach as centre Oliver Marns, left winger Mark Duxbury and right wing Gary Stephenson all crossed for a 28-6 lead after 53 minutes.
Marns added a second try and Kendal were trailing 35-6.
Hull rounded off their bonus-point win with another try from Stephenson to go 42-6 up before replacement wing Leo Mercer scored their only try in the 75th minute.
