Rugby - Kiwi prop Hudson to miss Hoppers visit

IT’S a 3pm kick-off for the first time this year at Kendal for the visit of eighth-placed Preston Grasshoppers.

Kiwi prop Iain Hudson is out with suspected ankle-ligament damage so Billy Coxon and Andew Quarry team up with hooker Duncan Green in the front row.

With Peter Stevens having returned to New Zealand, Joe Mallinson gets a chance at openside flanker after rave reviews for Cumbria Under-20s in that role recently.

Ian Voortman takes a turn on the bench as Steffan Thomas starts at centre alongside Ben Robinson.
