A KENDAL Academy wrestlers' trip to Brittanny got a grip on three gold and two silver medals.
The party took part in the Breton Under-21 Backhold Championships - a similiar style to their Cumberland and Westmorland tradition.
Selside's Sam Wilson was the smallest U42kg entrant, but his skills earned him the win, while James Hayhurst of Natland topped the 68kg competition.
Dent's Connie Hodgson put in the group’s outstanding performance, winning her category and taking the women's trophy for the most outstanding performance.
Silvers went to Matthew Atkinson (Selside) and Craig Naylor (Waberthwaite)
